I didn’t send any updates or contact brown apart from the alumni interview.

I only logged into the portal a handful of times.

Have decisions already been made, or can we still send emails/letters and such?

Thanks

im pretty sure they’ve already been made especially since notification is next week

Decisions can always be changed until they are sent out

Two contradicting posts…

How do you know decisions can be changed until they are released? Has an admissions officer at brown told you this?
@iwannabe_Brown

2 contradicting post because besides actual Brown employees, we are only guessing. You can ONLY get opinions. It’s your call Posterguy. But I seriously doubt random “email/letters” are going to make an iota of difference unless they detail some jaw-dropping development about you since December.

I am guessing about brown but I am not guessing about other schools. Things may have changed but in 04-05 when I applied I was at a very prestigious high school with an extremely well connected college
Counselor. He would call schools a few days before decisions were mailed and get the jump on the results from some schools. At Hopkins he was told I was accepted but then I got wait listed. When he followed up he learned that an admissions officer had decided there were too many potential pre meds and bumped 100 accepted students to the wait list.

He was unable to find out in advance from penn but my mailing from them included everything an accepted student received except an acceptance letter and instead had a waitlist card. When he followed up they said the accepted students material was put in by mistake but he thinks it’s because a last second switch was made and they forgot to take out the other material.

Phone won’t let me edit. I do agree with t2 that unless it’s monumental news it probably won’t change anything regardless of whether it could.

You have nothing to lose by sending in additional material. It probably won’t make a difference, but why not? If you have the time, go for it. The alternative is regretting your inaction later.

^also agree with that.
