Too late to show interest?

Michigan might release their EA decisions on Friday. I’ve been in contact with my regional counselor multiple times and have a positive relationship. I’ve emailed him twice saying that UM is my top choice, I love the school, I’d go if I got in, etc. All I’ve gotten is the auto reply. I’m aware that the school is probably very busy with finalizing admissions, and I’m wondering if sending one final email is appropriate or worth it.

It would say something like:
Even though I’ve already been admitted into a couple of good colleges, Michigan continues to be my top choice. I still will attend if I am admitted.

I would clean that up and be polite and say thanks and stuff, but is it worth it?

If you’ve already sent a similar message multiple times, I don’t think you should send it again. You don’t want to annoy your regional counselor.

I would send it. Although it may come off as annoying, I don’t see a problem as if it truly is your #1 and you really want to go, do everything you can to get in and let them know your interest. Even if it can be annoying, it still comes off as reaching out and showing them your continuing interest, etc.

Absolutely do NOT send that e-mail! You have clearly shown your interest not only by sending in your application EA, but also by sending not one but two emails to the regional counselor, who is certainly a very busy person. The fact that they didn’t answer you the first two times should tell you that they are too busy for another message. In my opinion it comes off as desperate and even immature to bother someone repeatedly about the same thing over and over again. You have done all you can do at this point - if they weren’t going to tell you “yes” before you send this email, it’s highly unlikely this will change their minds after. It is out of your hands.

Don’t send essentially the same message multiple times.

I don’t think it’s worth it at this point. Showing extra interest this late probably won’t sway their decision. If the acceptances are going out on Friday, they’re probably finished/very close to finishing with their decisions by now and are just processing them.
