Too late to take SAT and Subject Test?

I’m going into my senior year and I realize I still have two tests I need to take: the SAT and SAT II Chemistry Subject Test. I already signed up for the October chem exam. As for the SAT, I’d taken it once, but didn’t do as well as I’d expected so that’s why I decided to give it another shot. Would November be too late to take the SAT again? I want to be able to send in my scores to colleges on time and I’m scared I will miss the application deadlines.

Could anyone give some advice on what I should do now? Thanks!

November shouldn’t be too late. In fact, December even technically works because you get the scores back before college app submission, on the 22nd (assuming college admission due date’s 01 January). According to the College Board site, you get November scores back the 24th of November, which I think is fine for college admissions, unless you’re planning on doing early decision or whatnot. My best friend took her SATs for the third time in December, and she didn’t have any trouble

Some schools have this kind of information on their sites, too. Good luck!

As for regular admission, vast majority of colleges take through the Dec or Jan tests. Some require completion of testing by the November test.

If you intend to apply early decision or early action, where you get a decision by mid-Dec, then Nov tests are too late for many but still timely for a number of them.

While it depends on which schools you are applying to, most school are fine with accepting November test dates when you are applying regular decision.

The only disadvantage this has is that numerous schools have earlier cutoffs for you to be considered for scholarships- but you should be perfectly okay for admission.

First, it is not late at all for RD and some EA/ED if you take them in September and October. Second, you may consider the ACT also to be on the safe side.
