Would it be too late to update colleges of recent achievements? I'm sure they're near finishing up deciding but I have hope that they'll pull my file out and reconsider.

Stuff I'm adding:
submitted publication to Cell
submitted publication to Mol. Microbiol.
International award
National award
some small stuff
NMF

urgh. i really hope they'll consider next week

also, let’s say that a college decided to reject/waitlist me as a decision. if new information comes through (multiple stuff) would they reopen file and look at me again?

I think it depends on the school and how early they make their decisions, I know some have already starting mailing out some acceptances. I don’t know if it’s necessarily a waste of time to send it now, however I think it never hurts to try!

I also was in this spot, and decided to send it last week. I rather know that I did every possible thing in my power xD

Yeah but I’m mainly wondering if they would pull my file out and reconsider even though they’ve already reviewed my app. Its a lot of things to add. I want to be hopeful xD

Unlikely that the update will be accepted. Schools like Cornell stopped accepting updates 3 weeks ago. Even less likely that they will re-review your file in light of the updates. Decisions are typically regarded as final unless the decision gets appealed (if they even allow that).

However, it doesn’t hurt to try. The update sounds pretty darn significant. Hope you sent it already.
