Too late?

I am new in CC forum so I am not sure if I can post this..
this is my case
I got waitlisted by Milton and Deerfield, accepted by NMH and rejected by Peddie and Lawrenceville. I am applying to repeat junior.
Honesty, I want to get in those really top top prestigious BS. But I dun think I really have any hope in getting off the waitlist:( [sorry but I think I get good grades, SAT scores n activities]
Now I really regret not applying to big schools like Choate, PEA or exeter. Do you think I still got a chance if I apply to those schools now and visit the admission office in person (>16 hours flight from here to east coast) in early April?
Thanks all CCers.

I am pretty sure those schools don’t accept late applicants

NMH is probably a fine choice. But if you want to explore other options, look at ExieMITAlum’s post from Marcn 11 at 9:59. It has a link to boarding schools that have rolling admissions.

If you were to apply now you’d max get a waitlist spot. So you’d not really be in a situation much different from right now. I’d just stay on the Deerfield/Milton waitlists and see what happens.

You can wait to confirm with NMH 'til April 10th and if nothing has changed by then NMH is not a bad school. And if you don’t mind losing your deposit with them you could stay on the waitlists, sometimes spots open up as late as July/August.

Thanks everyone.
I guess I will wait for a few days before making any decision.
Nmh is not bad. But I am still wondering if it worth me repeating one grade…

Love the school that loves you :)

Ditto - don’t throw away a definite “yes” for a school you haven’t applied to.

Can you apply to Andover, Exeter or Choate late? No. They have too many students on the waiting list already.
