too late?

is it too late to add a supplemental rec?

i wrote an essay on my experiences at the org i volunteer at, and feel that it would be a great add-on to my app if i can send a suplemntal rec (written by the organization director). maybe an adult’s input would further verify my immense commitment and genuine care for volunteering and helping autisti children. what do u guys think? will brown (or most private schools) allow this late addition?

At the worst, they won't read it, right?

Although if you wrote your essay on the topic already, it probably wouldn't be the most helpful. It's great that you spend your time on such endeavors!

I agree. At this point they are still pulling files together and seeing if they are complete. If something comes in a little late they probably won't even notice.

My daughter's experience last year was that sometimes things get lost in the mail or a college's system, as well. The colleges just let her know that her application was incomplete and she arranged for replacement items. She was deferred by another school, supplemented that application, and got accepted. (But then she decided upon Brown.) So I know that colleges will look at things that come in after the deadline -- Brown had one entire missing recommendation and didn't even tell us until March, I think it was!
