Too Late =/

<p>Welp, I finished my apps and sent 'em in already, but I think I left out my hook. Instead of having stellar ECs I prefer to hang out with my friends, but instead of smoking or drinking we travel and explore. Whenever I'm not in school, doing homework, or at work, me and my friends are usually hiking in some unexplored, camping on the peak of nearby mountain, or even skiing. For instance this summer, we took a trip to the Adirondacks and canoed around 60 miles, while still hiking to the tops of mountains, and having a great time.</p>

<p>I just thought of it now, but this is my hook . . . I'm an outdoorsy person who loves adventure . . . not a ton of those applying to upper-tier schools I don't think.</p>

<p>I wrote my essay about an experience on that canoe, but I never really conveyed on my app anywhere that I spend a LOT of time doing that kind of thing . . .</p>

<p>It sucks to realize that I could have made myself stand out, but didn't.</p>

<p>Sorry for this post haha . . . it was mostly a vent, but does anyone else feel like this?</p>

<p>i think a lot of people this week are feeling "PTSD"--not post-traumatic stress disorder but post-transmittal-serious-doubts.
If you chose to write about canoeing, from everything else possible in this world, they'll know it was important to you. I couldn't write that. I'd be...without a paddle.</p>
