Too Late?...

I wanted to amtrak up to Brown around june 1st to show my sister where im going next year. If I go around that time, will the place be dead? Even so, can we still get on campus to lookaround? And will Thayer Street still be functioning? ;)

yeah.. they should have information sessions and campus visits all year round.. but check on the web site to make sure

There are summer classes (and the summer @ brown program) running during the summer too. I went to Providence during the summer last year to see West Side Story and it was still pretty happening. Of course, that's in comparison to my town that shuts down at 5 pm in the summer.

My family and I are probably going to stop by at Brown this summer too. I'm so excited! It'll be my first time visiting =)

supertara, if you come right on june 1st it will probably be pretty quiet--that's right after commencement, before summer studies. you'll mostly just see the commencement aftermath and the clean-up crew. if you can, come up memorial day weekend (a couple days earlier) and check out the festivities. although it will be very crowded, brown is it's most impressive during this time. you could attend some of the free events like waterfire, the university ceremony on the green, and the faculty forums.
