Too many AP Classes?

I'm a sophomore and I'm currently taking AP Calculus AB, AP Bio, and Spanish 4
My Spanish teacher suggested I take AP Spanish Lit because I have a good grade in it and I was just wondering if that's too much? Should I wait until next year? Next year I want to take AP Calculus BC and I have to take AP U.S. History because of the program I'm in at my school and hopefully chemistry at the local community college.

Wait, does she want you to take AP Spanish Literature right now or next year? I think 3 APs as a Sophomore is really intense - the most kids do at my school is 1 (and that’s APUSH) and its pretty brutal.

well, only you can really know this. if your teacher says you can do it this year, then you’re probably capable. but unless you find your current spanish class and workload for your other classes as too easy, then i would hold off. if you’re doing it for college, then i would say how i don’t think adcoms will look badly upon your only taking two ap classes sophomore year. that seems like a lot already.

but how many ap’s do the other “high achieving” sophomores take, at your school?

I’m doing three. (APUSH, AP Cal BC self study, and AP Bio self study)

I don’t think it would be too much, but I have no idea about the AP Spanish Lit exam and its degree of difficulty. Just AP Cal and Bio isn’t too bad, though.

she wants me to take it this year

I have a sorta heavy workload especially in history and bio but the main reason I am considering her advice is because there are less tests. Like right now in Spanish 4 I have test every week on top of one quiz a week in bio and it would make it easier for me. Or maybe I’m wrong.
I think most sophomores in my school take maybe two or one ap classes I’m not really sure
