I've got three AP test and an essay due all on the same day. With about 3 days notice. This is nuts, I just don't care about school anymore.

You're telling me. My AP's are wearing me out...and I've been in school for only a month-and-half

So drop an AP class or two. The world won't end if you take the regular class.

=O omg yes it will!
you dont understand cause youre not one of the "smart kids"

lol...Yeah, it's hard...so much to do for the APs...I have 4 and want to shoot myself (not literally, of course, but you get what I mean)...

spydertennis, I WAS one of the smart kids. I graduated from high school 13 years ago as salutatorian, AP Scholar With Honor, and National Merit Finalist. Nobody cares about these titles today. On the other hand, nobody cares that I couldn't hack it in AP US History (and had to switch the the regular) because of the torrential workload and graduated with my Master's Degree somewhere at the bottom of the class just last year.

Just sit back, relax, be content to take just a few AP classes, graduate in the top 10% of your class, and STILL be able to get into nearly all of the colleges in the USA.

OMG!! no one cares about those titles wherever you are now?!?!!
...but my ap scholar with distinction...
what was the point of all the hard work i did?????

hold on while i go hyperventilate into a paper bag

This sounds radical, but the purpose of school is EDUCATION! Too many people seem to forget it. Even I have been guilty of this, and I regret all those times.

oh jhsu, you are so smart with your philosophical musings on the educational system
i am ready to reform my life, please enlighten me with some of your oh so brilliant wisdom and tell me what to do

I think spydertennis is being sarcastic. Ok, I more than think that. lol.

That's really unfair of your teachers. This is why my school designates what days specific subjects can assign tests.

spydertennis, there's nothing to be afraid of. I'm trying to help you make your life easier and better, but you make fun of me.

what subjects are they?

lol j what am i afraid of?
you say you want to make my life better but you havent given me the advice i asked for
please, youre like my messaih, my life up to this point has been aimless, and shallowly fullfilled by ap classes, i was waiting for your wise comments, " The world won't end if you take the regular class. " to give my life meaning
please share more pearls of wisdom, i really need your guidance as does every other person who takes ap classes because apparently without you we are lost, so please, make my life easier and better

um yeah seriously i cant even do 30 ap bio terms
all you have to do is look them up at the back
and type it up
but i just cant do it.
and i even tried to bribe my 10 year old sis to do it for me.. but she wouldn't take the offer of 5 cents a word

I CANT DO IT .. please someone do it for me
i just cant every time i sit here and try to type
i get like 1 word done
and then something more interesting gets my attention

waaah i just wanna cry i cant do it its 12:36 am and i'm still sitting here i cant doo it da;lfdjasf;
30 freakin terms damn im pathetic

jhsu u got any advice for me?
please im like dying here

I'm a "smart kid" who did an A and a 5 in calc BC in the jr. year and am taking Calc Multivariable with a teacher who is strictly "bell curve" I'll be lucky to get a B+. bye bye MIT, Cooper Union. Ugh.

a b+ doesnt ruin your chances

seriously.

thanks, but I have doubts. This guy is in his first year teaching here and is a hard**s who is got dumped in his tenure year by a university. Told the class (all merit semi-fs) that we'd be lucky to get Bs. He means it. I got 5s in calc BC, Chem and Physics C. Unlike APs where there is an established curric. Multivar. is no mans land. This guy is on a mission. Cardinal rule of course for a high school student is of course never complain about a teacher--just butch up and bear it. Ok, but this I need in my sr. year? I'm competing against Asian braniacs--and even these guys ae stumped. What a bummer!

How will that ruin your chances anywhere? Most high schools I know of (including my own) don't even offer anything beyond AP Calc, and you've already taken and scored 5s on many APs and Calc BC.

spydertennis, here are some ideas:
1. Get at least 7 hours of sleep per night. If you have to cut a few corners in studying, so be it. You'll learn to be more efficient. Getting up in the morning won't be such an agonizing nightmare. And you'll be that much sharper and more alert all day.
2. What are your most difficult, most time-consuming AP classes? Drop those and keep the rest. The world won't end just because you took the regular class instead of the AP class.
3. Be satisfied with B's. A B is supposed to be GOOD. C is supposed to be OK. Even a D is passing. I have my Master's Degree in electrical engineering. On the 4-point scale, I haven't had a 3.5 since the first semester of my freshman year of undergraduate school. The world did NOT end.

but what about the fact that my dad beats me if i get anything less than a 95??
i dont think dropping an ap class is a good idea, i might have a psychotic episode
