Too many APs?

Im about to be a junior on Monday and I got my schedule today. Our classes are split into 2 semesters, 4 in each. I dont have a problem ith first, but I don’t know if second is too much. Opinions?

1st:
AP CALCULUS AB
SPANISH II
APUSH
BAND

2nd:
AP ENGLISH LANG
AP EURO
AP PSYCH
AP CALCULUS BC

Only you know how many APs you can handle. I know people that did fine taking 6-7 AP classes each year, and I know people that struggled with 2-3 each year. It just all depends on you, and without that information, nobody can give you a good answer.

It depends on what you can handle. Some would have no problem with having AP euro and AP calc BC in the same semester, along with the somewhat easier Lang and Psych, but some people would definitely struggle. It honestly seems like a pretty large amount of work, especially squeezed into one semester, but if you’ve dealt with similar levels of stress in the past and think you can handle it, then go for it.

Will you also have to study for the APUSH exam in the spring? I assume so. This would add more to do, but again, it all depends on you. If you think you can get the scores and grades you want with these classes, then go for it.

Ah your school still uses the old 4 block schedule, my school decided to get rid of it.

Can you take out band and move one of your 2nd semester APs to 1st semester since you only have 2 APs first semester? That way you will have an even amount of APs each semester. I also recommend taking Spanish 3 too.

I think it looks fine. I would not change anything.

Those APs are only ofered that semester unfortunately, and I plan on taking spanish 3 in the summer.

Make sure you can set aside enough time to get 4’s/5’s. Taking lots of APs every semester and earning lots of 3’s (or less) is a pretty common mistake. Do well in a few rather than mediocre in many.
