I'm planning to take 3 classes at a local community college before I head off to a university in the fall.
I want to get some of the GEs over with.
I'm planning to take Cultural Anthropology, Contemporary Biology, and Sociology on Human Sexuality.
The Socio class is strictly online, and the rest are in class.
Each of them are 3 unit classes.
The in-class classes are 2 hours long each and are from Monday to Thursday.
I will be done with classes by 1PM.

Do you think taking 3 classes/9units during summer is unrealistic?

Thank you!

any comment will be appreciated!

it will be stressful since the classes move so fast
but it will be worth it cuz it will save u tons of money and time.

if you can handle it, by all means…
but most cant and i know i cant.

i say try the classes, be aware of FRDW (full refund, drop w/o W) dates.

Thanks for the input!

I would recommend you NOT take the online class. The others are probably fine.

Would it be a good idea to take a physical anthropology online course during summer and the lab in the fall? The lab’s not offered right now but I need the course. What should I do?

I am taking 4 courses at my CC this summer. We have two summer sessions between May and August. I am taking cultural anthropology (!) and macroeconomics summer I and stats/prob and music appreciation summer 2. That’s 13 credits total! I have heard of people at my school taking three per summer session (so six classes total) and being successful. Is your summer session divided like mine? That could help.

But online classes can be tough…be careful about that one.

^They really can be. I’m taking an online class right now and it is HELL. I know a lot of it depends on the teacher, but I really feel like I’m missing out on a lot because I’m not in a classroom with a teacher and my classmates, etc.
