I am a junior in high school and I am currently a member of...........

-National Honor Society
-Student government/council
-Beta Club
-Spanish Honor Society
-Science Olympiad
-First Priority

I am also in the process of starting a first robotics team and joining mu alpha theta. Along with these clubs, I also play basketball and tutor. I have a strong interest in all these clubs but a lot of my friends tell that this is too much and that it isn't good to be in so many clubs. I this too much or is this okay?

^Agreed entirely. I am also in many clubs that I contribute greatly to and I don’t worry about it hurting me because I do so much for each one.

Why do your friends say it’s not good?

As others said, it depends on what you do. I was quite proud of my membership in the community service club and drama club at my school because I poured myself into those things. I listed things like NHS somewhere, but I doubt it helped my application - I didn’t do anything in NHS. It just indicated me as a good student, which my other stats already told, and the community service aspect was far overshadowed by my work in other things.
