I have taken about 100 credits all at community college (thats crazy I know, but changing schools, majors, etc). My counselor said I qualified for TAG. I did my tag and now I’m doing my regular app for UCSB and when I put in the number of credits I have it blocks me from applying to most schools! It says they do not accept seniors, but as I am applying from a community college I thought I didn’t have senior status? Please help! Not sure how I can override this or if this is a new requirement, but when I last spoke to my counselor I had this many units and she said I would be fine.
So either you’re doing something wrong or the online app is not working correctly. Call the application center for help at the number given on http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/how-to-apply/apply-online/
If you took ALL of your units at a Community College, you need to choose that you will be applying as a Junior Transfer 60-89 units. The problem you are experiencing might be because you pressed the button that says you will be applying as a Senior 89-100 units near the beginning of the application. AS LONG AS YOU TOOK ALL OF YOUR UNITS AT A COMMUNITY COLLEGE, you will not be in danger of violating the unit cap limits that UC sets on its campuses. And even if you have 100 or more units, you would still check the box that says you will be applying as a Junior 60-89 unit transfer. Good luck!
^^^ good point. That might be it.
