I know that it is your level of commitment to each activity that matters and not the amount of activities, but I have not even started my junior year and this is what I have so far... Do you think I should cut any out?
I have no idea what I want to study in college so I'm trying to keep my options open with these.

2)cedars Sinai (medical) Volunteer 11-12 (5hrs/wk)
3)grief counseling center (psychology) Teen Counselor 11-12 (3hrs/every other week)
4)interact club (volunteering) Media Head* 9-12 (3 hrs/wk)
5)red cross club (volunteering) Co President* 9-12 (3 hrs/wk)
6)science club (Science and journalism) President and Editor* 10-12 (2-10 hrs/wk)
7)viola 9-12 (self practicing whenever I have the time)
8)travel blog (documenting trips I have/will take) 10-12 (1 hr/wk)
I was also thinking about joining my school's academic decathlon team to beef up my schedule next year... Suggestions?

Speaking as somebody with a ton of ECs…

If you enjoy them and your time commitment to them does not have a negative impact on your grades then stick with them. Though don’t do ECs to impress colleges, do them because you enjoy them. Also I would not take on any more ECs…

Ahhhh, thanks Any other suggestions… should I cut any?
I was thing either cedars or grief counselling bc i cant get a leadership role with those… but cedars os right next to my house and the grief counselling seems like something many other ppl wont have.

Def keep grief counseling it looks impressive. The Red Cross you should keep too because its related to your science interest as is evident through your other clubs.
I guess cut viola if you don’t have the time.

P.S. How did you find that grief counseling position? Is that hard to get? (I wanna major in neuro/psych so I think thats really cool)

@elnamoI actually used to go there for personal reasons (and so did all of the other teen volunteers)…I think of you have a genuine interest in helping the kids that they will take you. Thanks and good luck!
