Too many ECs

I’m very busy with my workload and ECs - but I don’t enjoy all of them, and I’m also anticipating harder classes and a greater workload next year. Most of the teachers that lead the clubs are expecting me to continue, but I really just want to pare down. I’m not sure if there’s anything I shouldn’t drop, but I know it’s more important that I’m interested in whatever club I’m in. Any thoughts? Also, what do you personally think a good number of ECs would be?

Currently, I’m in:
Fine Arts Academic Super Bowl (basically art history and music history over the French Revolution, but there’s a different topic every year)
English Academic Super Bowl (also over the French Revolution, but more focused on literary terms and reading)
Math team
Jazz band (would have to drop this if I quit concert band, which I might do next year)
Spell bowl (really dislike it though)
Pit orchestra for the musical
Computer club
Book club

Also, I take piano lessons and am in Girl Scouts.
*I’m interested in joining the Key Club and maybe Running Royals (“casual” training to get more in shape), but obviously I don’t have enough time at the moment.

Thoughts?

No need to continue EC’S you don’t like. I would recommend just focusing on the ones you really like and becoming a leader in those instead of being a member of many activities.

Colleges care more about quality and passion than quantity. It won’t benefit you in the long run to keep up a long list of ECs that you don’t even enjoy.

^I second what Dax123 said. Becoming more involved in ECs that you like demonstrates true interest and commitment.
