Too many essays

<p>Are there any merit-based scholarships that aren't essay contests? I feel like it would be a waste of my time to write a million different essays just for the shot at some money...!</p>

<p>I broke 1500 on the SAT and I have a 4.0...is there anything else merit-based that I'm eligible for?</p>

<p>Merit based aid differs from scholarships in that it is not competitive. Most programs simply list criteria, e.g., 1500+ SAT with a top 5% class ranking. Everybody that meets the criteria gets the same grant.</p>
