<p>So, as you all probably have realized, the Common App only allows room for 7 main activities... I have 9 that I have devoted over 100 hrs/yr for each. None of them are "mainstream" like MUN or debate club, so the "explanation" area is way too short. Do you recommend that I write everything out (not in essay form, in list form) on an attached sheet, or would colleges not take kindly to this? I have heard a lot of schools despise too many papers, supplements, etc. Also, I am applying ED so will that make a difference in their tolerance of a longer app?

<p>You have to write your activities in the space provided, but you could leave the explanation area blank and write that on a separate sheet and put it in the additional information section. I don’t think this would be frowned upon as long as you keep it short!</p>
