Too Many Reach Schools?

Thx for all ur help. Btw, i didnt mention this but this site rox! I'm getting lots of help here that i can't find anywhere else. Thx all!!

Boston U is definately not ranked 20-40, it's not in top 50 even. But, the others suggested by stamliark are good ideas. BC, Vanderbilt, and William and Mary are safeties. Emory is a safe match. You never really know with Duke, but your chances would be very good (much over 50%).

Over 50 percent at Duke? wow i hope ur right

Since you have high(est) rank but slightly below ave SATs for Ivys, don't limit your reach schools, you never know which one will take you.

If I had:
Johns Hopkins
Northwestern
U of Mich
William and Mary
-- as my bottom four schools, is that safe enough or do I need additional safeties? especially since im from IL and Mich and Will and Mary both have state residency as very important. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Johns Hopkins not safe
Northwestern not safe
U of Mich safe
William and Mary not safe for an out of state

Can colgate be considered a safety school?
