1 Teacher (very good recommendation and I can get more)

Would like schools with a strong science program (intending to go to med school). School spirit is kind of important to me. In the Northeast, Midwest, or Florida. Would like some fairly realistic reaches. Both LAC and State Universities. I had some reaches but people are saying I need more and to get rid of some safeties. Thanks

Here is my list so you can get an idea
Match Schools
- Michigan State University
- Indiana University
- University of Massachusetts Amherst
- Miami University
Safety Schools
-Grand Valley State University
-Adrian College
-Albion College
-Eckerd College
-Western Michigan University

UMich Ann Arbor!!! (Obvious?)
UFlorida
UNC (this will be a higher reach)
Penn State

your Match schools sound about right.

As to other options (possible reaches assuming u raise ur ACT to 27-28 range)
- GWU
- Boston University
- Georgia
- University of Florida (though probably too much of a reach since ur OOS.
- University of Miami (Fl) (they favor OOS students here more than they do at UF when it comes to admissions so u have a better shot)

For strong science programs in the midwest, Minnesota-Twin Cities, Iowa State, Missouri. For some reaches - Northeastern (Boston), Worcester Poly. North Carolina is probably out of reach for you.

What about Boston University would that be too far out of reach

Boston University along with the others I mentioned are all possible reaches assuming u can raise ur ACT a little higher.
