Is it possible to transfer too many times? Does transferring more than once look bad on your resume or future college applications? I am at UW-Madison as a sophomore (my second school) and debating transferring again to a better business school. Just want some opinions.

haha why'd you create another thread asking the same question?

if you do transfer, just make sure it's a better school that uw. that is all.

It is really not an issue on resumes. Your resume will list the school which ultimately grants you a degree, eg

2009 BS, Business Administration cum laude University of Wisconsin.

There is usually no reason to list other schools attended on a business resume.

For college applications (or grad school applications), you will certainly need to list every institution attended, as virtually all such applications ask it in that way. And provide transcripts. Hard to say whether it will "look bad." I think it is case by case on how you present your whole story.

haha, you figured me out aspirant, just wanted to get some new opinions

I have read that if you transfer too much, in excess of 2 or 3 times, you will be less likely to be accepted somewhere. How much emphasis is placed on that, I do not know. It shows the committee that you have made poor decisions in the past and are not happy where you end up.
