Too many units!

Hey everyone I am currently in community college planning to get my degree in engineering. I have completed about 96 total units. I want to transfer to a CSU and have completed all the general elective classes (IGETC) and my general chem/physics classes and up to second semester calculus. My question is since I am so over the 70 units allowed to transfer can I pick which classes I want transferred? Of course all the (IGETC) classes go but I took some extra classes like high levels of chem which I didnt need also some (IGETC) classes that I didnt need because I had completed similar ones in the same category. Basically my question is will i be able to pick between transferring credit from say a chemistry class and choose a calculus class in its place? I have alot of excess I dont need and dont wanna risk having to take all this calculus again! thanks!

You will get 70 units toward the total of 120 (or slightly more for certain majors) for the bachelor’s degree, but all transferable courses taken will count toward specific subject requirements.

For engineering, you will need additional math beyond second semester calculus; see http://www.assist.org for the specific math and any other courses you can take.
