Long story short - basically I 5 W’s on my CC transcript that spans over 3 years. I do have some family circumstances that I won’t get to much into but basically I live with my single mom and three younger siblings who I care for (like I watch them for long periods of time daily, drop/pick them up from school, make their lunches, etc.) and I plan to put this down on the UC appbut I just feel awful because I still feel like 5 W’s is going to be too many W’s for me to get accepted anywhere.
Is it even worth applying to any UC’s (my transferrable GPA right now is 3.57 but it’ll probably go slightly down after this semester).
Has anyone here been accepted with more W’s or should I just not apply? I’ll be fine if I don’ go to a UC… like it won’t be the end of he world. I was just wondering if it’s eve worth it to apply?
You should definitely still apply. If you can explain the W’s, do so in the additional comments section or in one of your essays. A 3.5 is still pretty good, you have a shot at most UC’s, but it also depends on your major.
The Ws are OK. Be sure to TAG a campus.
I transferred to UCLA with 4 W’s. You’ll be alright. It’s not like you have 10 or 20.
You’ll be fine. I had 9 Ws on my transcript, on top of that I was at CC for 7 years before transferring. Took 4 years off due to working full time.
My gpa when i applied to UCs last year was 3.07. I got into UCSC, UCSD, UCSB, and UCR majoring in chemistry.
