Too much first semester?

Here's my schedule i signed up for (assuming the FWS - I have a lot of options for that time slot so i'm not worried about it not working out)

Schedulizer: Fall '09

That's 5 classes. I figure I can always drop the evolution class if it's too much. I really do want to keep it though because i'm a prospective history/gov't double major, so i'll get two history classes (evolution is cross listed in history) and also eliminate one of the req science classes! I read up on the professor and it seems its based on three papers, albeit very daunting ones. However, it won't seem to keep me up every night. Plus, I actually like the subject and it's probably a good course for every well-educated person ;P

btw I don't mind the classes during M-TR, I didn't want friday classes at all. I'm worried about the workload outside of class. Also, I plan on pledging so I was hoping to take more credits 1st semester so I can ease up on the 2nd semester...a lot..haha.

EDIT - One additional question - If I signed up for evolution under BIOEE, will that show on my transcript only or will it list the cross-listed depts? I did it that way so it would show up as science and show "diversity" to grad school

Doesn’t look that bad, as far as credits and hours go looks to be about the same as mine.

either you are all over achievers or you’re in store for a rough 1st semester :o

another question…do you need to sign up for the course in the department you want credit for?

i.e. you said evolution is crosslisted in history…do you need to sign up for it as history to count as history credit?

I don’t think you have to…because gov’t and history have a lot of cross-listed classes too, and you can count a class for both. So I don’t think it matters.
