Hi, I am currently in gr. 10 and I worked it out with my counselor so that I can take Calculus AB,BC,Physics B,C next year. Is it too hard to handle two Calcs and two Physics in one year? I really want to challenge myself to try to stand out in my school, but is it way too difficult?

Theres a lot of stuff thats in AB and BC, so I think you should just take BC instead of both. I don’t think 3 AP classes are too much so good luck!.

lol, well, bc completely encompasses ab, and you cant even take both tests in a year, so thats definitely pointless.

and physics c is just an extension to physics b, and it can in a ways be tied to calculus too. so what youve got there isnt a terribly difficult schedule, and with adequate time management you should be fine.

Like they said, choose ONE physics and ONE calculus. They are meant to be alternatives. You shouldn’t take both. Since they’re isn’t a huge difference in the work load, I’d say to do Physics C and Calculus BC, assuming this will be your second physics course.

you need to know calc for physics c, so if you’ve never done calc, I wouldn’t reccommend it. Do phy B + bc if you like math, or phy b + ab if you’re not as good at math.

why dont you take calc ab and physics b one year and bc and c the next?

you know… how they are designed to be taken?

Just take bc and physics B.
