^^Can you direct me to an article that discusses what you've described about Columbia/ I am very interested in that, and would like to share it with S.

Try this link. I originally saw it in the Forward but this seems to be a republication ot the Forward article.

Jewish Students Accuse Columbia University of Bias - Campus Watch

here is another link. Columbia Unbecoming

wow brandeismom... taking the time to type all that out, huh.
well here's something for you: i am talking on a theoretically. i am not equating yeshiva to be a hebrew school. i am saying it would be more of a hebrew school over brandeis. besides, who cares what the exact definiton of a yeshiva is?

Going out on a limb to comment to comment in this thread because I am not Jewish, just live in a neighboorhood with a large Jewish population (and we had a nice visit at Brandeis and my daughter was accepted there but decided to go somewhere with a stronger program in her major) -

Kids from our area do not report that Brandeis feels like they were back in Hebrew School, but more than one has reported a "National Federation of Temple Youth" feel to Brandeis.

Brandeis is about diversity. However, there is a significant percentage of Jewish population that cannot be overlooked. Either way, Brandeis is about repect and tolerance to all religions and backgrounds and "creepy" sounds offensive and narrowminded.
