Too much of scholarship money???

<p>Ok, I don't think that I will get the Gates Scholarship or anything like that but I just have a question about it. If I do get a FULL paid scholarship, and I'm have a very low-income (efc=0), what would be the benefits of me applying to other small scholarship out there (like Best Buy)? </p>

<p>Do college subtract the scholarship money from the aid that they would have given you? Or is there some way you can convert these scholarship money into cash? </p>

<p>They will reduce your need based financial aid by scholarships you receive. However they generally reduce loans and work study before grants so it is still worth having the scholarships rather than a loan.</p>
