Hello everyone. Is it too young to shadow a doctor or doctors while in the 10th grade? What do you think? What do you think the doctors will think?

Thanks in advance.

If a physician will let you there’s no reason not to. But I wouldn’t really see much point to it until you were in college and closer to the actual decision about medical school.

Go for it. I did some shadowing in 11th grade. I also started working at a doctor’s office in 11th grade. I would show the patients to their rooms, take their blood pressure and pulse, take their basic medical history if they were new patients, do some filing for medical charts, write prescriptions (the doctor would tell me exactly what to write, and then would read it over and sign it). It was a good experience, and gave me some insight about the medical field before I started college.
