Took a complete sample LSAT while dead tired and bored...

Started guessing when I got frustrated....

LSAC's raw score -> real thing converter gave me a 158. I'm second year undergrad. Does this give me hope given the circumstances?

That should give you a lot of hope. When I was a first year I went down to an event being held at a nearby college and took a full length LSAT to what it's like. I ended up with a 140 of the exam. Last summer I got to studying and at the end of Summer had my score up to about a 160. I've continued to work at it and am now getting in an average of about 164. So 158 is a good score to start with.

Allena, did you take a course? And if so, what books did you use to study?

Im getting ticked off with my LSAT scores. They are so inconsistent. One test I get a 158, the next two i pull off a 161 and a high 163 and then i fall back to a 157.

I know they are good scores percentile wise, but its not up to par with what I need (looking for the mid-upper 160's range to be competitive at Duke, Boalt, Virginia etc).

Any tips for how to get a consistent score? Or is churning away exam after exam the way to do it?
