took ACT as freshman....

hey i was reading on the upenn website that they require all scores from the SAT, SAT IIs, and ACT.
As i freshman I thought it would be a good idea to take the ACT, and I got a 24 Composite (29M, 24 S, 22 R/E). I recently took the test as a junior and received a 35 on the test.

Will they look down on the fact that I took it as a freshman?
Because this is really scaring me:

"Furthermore, if the new Score-Use policy creates behavior that may be unproductive, like taking the test at an earlier stage and taking the test more than 3 times..."

Thanks

I don’t think they will penalize you for your freshman year score. But I would definitely be honest and send everything. Remember that scores are only one part of your application there’s lots of other stuff they look at as well.

Relax. Two years and a jump by 9 points is decent. It shows that you worked hard. Send them both in.

I sent in 34 I got as a sophomore as my score.

Ask a Penn counselor what they think - they might even tell you not to send it in, as it was from so long ago.

I took the SAT as a freshman and got a not so great score.
I took the SAT as a junior and got a pretty good score.
I was waitlisted by Penn and accepted by other great colleges. It’s not a big deal.

I think ACT is allowed to have score choice at every college. You have to pay seperately for every score you send, so I don’t understand why you’d have to send the other one.

Could you imagine paying $30 dollars for every school because you took it 3 times? and another $10 for your subject test scores?

That’s a lot of money and I doubt Penn expects you to pay that much.

P.S. I got into UPENN with a 28.
