Took Spanish in High School, BUT

I took the Spanish requirements for the IGETC in High School. The thing is, I got a B in Spanish 1, and I got a D in my first semester of Spanish 2 and a C in my second semester of Spanish 2. I heard it doesn't matter that I received a D in first semester of Spanish 2 as long as I passed the second semester, but I'm not certain. Anyone know exactly if I will or not receive credit?

Well you retook the class to replace the D, right? Because if that’s the case you should be fine…don’t quote me, though. You didn’t take a third year?

Ask a UC and your CC’s office that gives out transcripts and igetc certification.

I’m sure this is what your counselor will say.

Go ask UC Davis admissions on this website, he/she/it replies within 3 days. At least you don’t hav eto be on the phone for hours

You’ll be fine. The higher course (Span 2B) validates the lower course (Span 2A).

I didn’t retake the class. I took it in high school. My highschool like many others are a full year, and not by semester. In my first half of spanish 2 I got a D and my second half of the year I got a C. Just to clarify.

you’ll definitely want to check. My school did semesters. Even if you failed the first semester, you still went onto the second one but eventually did have to repeat the one you failed. It seems weird that your school didn’t do something like this. Check asap.
