Took two tests and guessed through third one...

Hi,

I’ve gotten myself into a stupid situation in May, when I got myself ready to take 2 subject tests, but was misinformed by my proctor who convinced me that I can always choose which scores I sent to colleges, prompting me to take a physics test and basically guessing through it.

750 US History
690 Literature
470 Physics

I plan on paying to Georgetown, which supposedly wants to see all subject test scores. Is there any way I can explain this to AdCom, or anything I can do from CB side of things? I’m an immigrant and a lot of this didn’t make sense to me, cause me to make some last-minute, uninformed decisions

Georgetown recommends 3 Subject Tests. Take another test and score significantly higher, then the highest 3 will be considered. Other than that, there’s nothing you can really say.

If it makes you feel better my ds2 bombed his third Subject Test and still got in. He was somewhere in the 500s, which put him in the 25th percentile for that test.

@skieurope , in that case, they will basically ignore the lowest fourth one (physics)?

Obviously, they can’t unsee something. But if a college says that they consider the best scores, I take them at their word. It’s not like there’s another option.
