My cousin in the Philippines recieved a Fulbright scholarship to attend any university in the States. She wants to know which university to attend to get her Master's degree.

Columbia University or Northwestern University would be my top two choices.

Other good choices include:
New York University
Syracuse University
University of Missouri
University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill
University of Texas-Austin
University of Southern California

all of alexandre's are good options, but he overlooked UC Berkeley's graduate program in journalism. I say the best choice is columbia, I just returned from their annual student press conference... beautiful campus, and Columbia is home to the Columbia scholastic press association (which is the national school press thing) and the administration of the pulitzer prize (doesnt get any better than that).. just a word, they can be kind of snobby... and another word of caution for your kid.. at the columbia conference the presentors all said that a masters degree in journalism is almost entirely useless unless you want to be a teacher. What matters for jobs in journalism is intern experience, a strong portfolio and CONNECTIONS with people in the biz.

how about the big universities like harvard, princeton, yale, stanford?

i dont think tey even have a journalism major much less a journalism school

anybody else?

wellesley?

Stanfordlover, Journalism isn't a program like Economics, Math or English. You only have a handful of top programs. We listed them above. We maybe missed three or four other good programs, but the top ones are already listed.

columbia definitely
