Hey college confidential,
My current percent rank in school is 10.054347826% (weighted) but I have a 4.0 gpa unweighted. One of the colleges i applied to has a special program where you need to be in the top 10% of your high school class in order to be considered for this program. I know 10.05 is bigger than 10 but I am wondering if colleges will still consider me as part of the top 10%?I’d appreciate your thoughts and comments, thanks
If the program specifically says top 10%, then 10.05% does not count as they are pretty stringent about that. But, I would just ask your guidance counselor just to be sure. Tell her that you are interested in this program and see what he/she can do.
How in the world do you get a 10.0543…% rank? How many students do you have in your class?
37/368 would do it.
This is not one anyone can give a clear answer to unless (a) they know the college, and (b) they actually know what the college will do in your situation. Your best avenue is to contact the college and ask.
