wait are yall going to school together? man that sucks

You spelled owned wrong in your list.

I don't get why people always say pwned on purpose. It's stupid.

what. pwned. that is like...the slang of the new century. dont hate, jonathan

i agree...there's def. not p in "owned" it makes no sense.

Well GreendayFan, that slang term ("pwned") originated in the context of internet gaming (ask any gamer you know). When you type quickly you run into errors like "teh" for "the," and "!!11" for "!!!!," along with pwned for owned (p is right next to o on the keyboard). Gamers picked up these common typos and incorporated them into regular English. A lot of people even use those words when speaking in the real world. So it does make sense...even if it's just slang.

Hey Jimbob, you ever talk to people who use rofl and lol as everyday words? As in they pronoun the accronym.

well i met this girl from spain and she actually said "Que Lol" when something was funny (the Lol rhymed with Hole)

and yes i know people who say ROFL as a word (rhymes with waffle)

what does rofl mean? haha i guess that ones not popular where i live
is it like lol or lmao?

rofl means rolling on the floor laughing

its often coupled with lmao so its like "Roflmao"

LVH <--I invented that one.

hahha i loved the (10 Char) one ... that one always makes me laugh when i see it

I don't ge tht (10 Char) one. All the rest sound about right.

And I have actually said LOL aloud before. Darn stupid instant messenger.

Yay! My thread's a featured discussion!

lol poor Arjun. I bet you I'll run into him too and just start laughing and he won't know why.

how to tell the person is from CC (i made all this up):
this native american has cured cancer and is now working with nasa to build better rockets. has a 4.0 gpa, 2400 sat with 12 on the essay, prez of every club at her school, 10 aps by junior year (all 5s), another 10 senior year. taken the act with a 36, varsity football, bball, and lax (captain of all), has legacy at MIT with 3 generations and her family donated nearly 5 milion bucks over the years, has taken every SATII and earned 800 on all but german (790) and worries that the score will prevent her from getting not only MIT, but her local community college

So truly I don't know what 10char means either, & it bug me not knowing.

When you type something that is short, it might be too short to submitted because it isn't 10 characters long. To make it long enough to submit people type (10 char) to extend the characters in their post.

not all CCers have great SAT scores...

Well obviously, but compared to the general population...

...If their screen name is about advanced theoretical physics. :D
