I also found the distribution of matriculants by decile fascinating. Specifically, the Cornell matriculation is much more elastic (it spans more deciles) than one would see with other elites.

Wait, where are the Greenwich schools and the Westchester new york schools?

kstern-- if you can find their matriculation lists, please be my guest.....

ps......I think I might have Greenwich HS in my to-do pile.....not an ready-to-post list, have to tally things up.

although a few years dated, the list in the linked article is close to the feeder lists presented on this thread.

<a href="http://www.meehawl.dyndns.org:1080/Webstore/Education/Getting%20Inside%20the%20Ivy%20Gates.html#top100%5B/url%5D">http://www.meehawl.dyndns.org:1080/Webstore/Education/Getting%20Inside%20the%20Ivy%20Gates.html#top100</a></p>

Ummm..thanks i guess.

I would say the top schools are: Harvard Westlake, Andover/Exeter and all those famous bs, Stuyvesant/Horace Mann/Bronx Science, Pine Crest, and Park Tudor for regions. Not the official list of course, but just the perceptions in my school.

Shaker Heights only has a partial admissions list (people send in where they are going by the school newspapaer, which publishes a big list in May, but only about 80% of the class replies.)

Thanks to everyone, especially Papa Chicken, for all these data. I copied everything into a Word file and then compiled an index of all the high schools that have matriculation data posted here as of March 1, 2006. When a school's data appeared more than once, I listed the additional posting(s). At the end of the list, I also listed the special sorts/compilations that have appeared here. This index should make it easier for readers to see quickly whether data from a particular high school have been posted and to search for particular schools' data within this list. I have some more school matriculation data that I will be posting later; in the meantime, if anyone has data for Lakeside (Seattle) and Catlin-Gabel (Portland), please post them. I have tried to find their matriculation data elsewhere without success but will keep trying.
