I thought Stuy also sent 1-2 each year to caltech

We do. I only listed colleges we sent 4 or more to last year.

As you can see, it's quite a mixed bag. Of the Ivies, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth and Princeton generally like us and Harvard, Yale, Brown and Penn don't. No one really knows why.

That is one for the books! I thought that under the previous Admission Dean at Princeton, Stuy fared very badly. The new dean in fact made a point of visiting Stuy to correct the impression that Stuy students had no chance there. By contrast, Harvard was supposed to be very favorably disposed toward Stuy students. Is the high Princeton figure the result of this very successful campaign to reverse Princeton's rep for favoring suburban kids? As for the low number of admits at Harvard last year, I wonder what happened (Do we know how many applied?)

I have some questions about hockey prep schools - if anyones knows anything on this subject could you please help me out at -

Thanks alot!

here's another SAT/GPA/rank breakdown with colleges accepted and matriculated for Stevenson HS (CA).

Brearley is utterly NASTY. I live two blocks away from Brearley, it has, I think, THE strongest college admissions office in probably the entire country, it doesn't have a dress code for the high school and... I'm a guy. Durr.

And just wait until you see St. Andrews new numbers. I think they sent five to Williams and seven to Davidson. What the heck.

i would highly reccomend you also post the average number of graduates

zetsui.....done so on post 80 as a summary, & with each school post thereafter (at least the ones I've posted).

kfc4u....yes, I used that web page & counted up # of matriculants by school. The page you posted is interesting in that it lists each graduate sorted by class rank & GPA (in class quintiles w/ associated stats), with each graduate's respective SAT scores & accepted/attending colleges. Worth a look, like the Conestoga profile.
