Top-20 Transfer Likelihood/opinions

schools i'm looking at: NYU, Columbia, UChicago, Emory, UC Berk, UPenn, Northwestern

current school: University of Georgia(honors program)
college GPA: 3.77 (2 honors classes)
high school gpa: 3.7ish
sat score: 2210 (770M, 690CR, 750W)
sat 2's: 760 Math1, 700Math2, might retake others if it's worth it
ECs- decent and well-rounded with sports, clubs, and internships/employment but nothing remarkable

any feedback is appreciated

cmon give me advice!

What is your financial situation? Can you afford NYU which gives lousy FA? If you’re a GA resident, are you willing to pay 50k to attend UCB?

thats not what im worried about right now.

I agree with entomom. You will have no problem getting into the universities you listed but you should take the cost of attending them into consideration.

The OP will have no problem getting into Columbia, UPenn, and UChicago?

As much as I hope you are right, I believe you are completely wrong.

I am not saying that he has 100% chance of getting in but he definitely stands a decent chance. Both his GPA and SAT scores are excellent.

Where the heck did you get that from:

???

LOL relax for some reason I thought you did say what I said to him

right now i’m concerned with acceptance
and i’m aware that this

“You will have no problem getting into the universities you listed but you should take the cost of attending them into consideration.”

is just flat out incorrect

Emory/Uchi/Uberk/NYU = good chance
NW= ok chance
Penn and Columbia are reaches, Columbia more so.
Why not add Brown if FA is not a concern? Or Cornell (not FA related but its a good match).
Columbia’s very fit oriented (as can be seen by its accept rate).
Pretty much every school you listed has an accept rate of 15-30%, except columbia, which is at 6%.

You have to contribute something, bring an interesting talent, be interested in an unpopular major, etc. to have a shot at columbia. I don’t think generic ECs will cut it.
