The Daily Meal just ranked the top 20 universities (in USNWR) according to their dining options. Since that is obviously a limited sample of colleges, these colleges can only be compared against one another; #1 on this list may well not be #1 in the country.

The blurbs of information about the dining options at each of these in the slideshow are interesting.

Food rankings are so silly unless there is a student that has eaten at all 20 schools on the list.

All I know is that WashU #1 . That school has amazing amenities and food.

I heard the food at Penn sucks from multiple sources. I wonder how accurate this is…

No props to lsu’s food

The food service at Penn is now provided by the same company–Bon Appetit–that provides the food service at #1 ranked WUSTL:

[Clients - Bon Apptit Management Company](<a href=“http://www.bamco.com/about-us/clients]Clients ”>http://www.bamco.com/about-us/clients )

Sometimes, I think that Penn students are more critical of the university’s food service because of the amazing variety of tasty alternatives available in the immediate area from the [59 food trucks](<a href=“http://www.pennfoodtrucks.com/]59 ”>http://www.pennfoodtrucks.com/ ), and from the great selection of [University City restaurants](<a href=“http://universitycity.org/restaurants]University ”>http://universitycity.org/restaurants ).

45 Percenter I apologize for my Penn slander ;). I was told the food was bad last year, perhaps things have changed.

ND’s food is very good. Wow, now I want to eat at the other 18 above.

I’ve heard Cornell is very good.

I visited Wash U and the food was AWESOME. Totally agree about it having excellent food & amenities.

Duke also uses Bon Apptit Management Company, but I feel like the Bon Apptit managers are probably incompetant compared to the WashU ones.
