Top 3 PRETTIEST and Top 3 UGLIEST State Flagship Campuses.

always thought the SUNY Flagship was Binghamton.

Prettiest:

UVA
UCLA (I'm biased...but Tom Hanks was filming Angels and Demons under Royce bc it's modeled after a cathedral in Milan...so what can I say). And for a school of its size, it's done a great job of being green and beautiful! :)
UC Berkeley (views from the bay are virtually unparalleled and the buildings are amazing, though there are better landscaping jobs elsewhere)

Disappointed in:

U-Maryland CP
U-Wisconsin
UC Irvine

Visited Washington and liked it, but honestly did not get the "wow" factor described here...

and UPenn if you want to count it.

Penn is not a state flagship. It is a private university with a very nice campus.

University of Florida has an awesome campus. Check out the Campus Historic District:

WildChild- Forgot it was a private school, but the other thing you said is an opinion I don't share.
rsx-I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure Binghamton is just the biggest (in population) of the SUNYs. (Stony Brook is larger in area.) I'm not a hundred percent sure though. I've never heard it called a flagship, but I've never heard anyone specifically state there isn't one.

Prettiest: University of Florida

Ugliest: UPenn

I may be biased, but UVA’s campus is far from being top3 most beautiful

If CU-Boulder isn’t on your list of the prettiest, it’s because you haven’t been there. Go Buffs!

Best:
Northeastern University has one of the best city campuses around.
Pepperdine and USC…Wow I was blown away.

Worst:
UMASS (Not the best vibe)
MIT

The two most competitive of the SUNY’s is Geneseo and Binghamton. NY doesn’t necessarily have a “flagship” campus.

But Geneseo is definitely the prettiest.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/suny-college-geneseo/670152-geneseo-photos.html

I actually didn’t think MIT was bad. Some of the buildings are quite odd, but still cool looking and provide a nice change from the traditional city look!

Depending on your definition of flagship, W&M is up there, along with UVA.

fixed

10char

Prettiest:
University of Washington…no question. Trees, flowers, green, water views, ivy covered buildings, huge fountains–just gorgeous.
UVa

Ugly:
UCSD (is that a flagship?). Could’t find any grass there–too much cement.

MIT has a pretty ugly campus. Im not very fond of Upenn either. Princeton has the best campus = )

Because MIT, UPenn, and Princeton are all state flagship campuses…

Actually UPenn is

no its not.

Penn State - Univ. Park is the flagship of Pennsylvania

You cant take a freaking joke can you?

UH Manoa is probably one of the ugliest. Its architecture (mostly big, ugly colored boxes) is so bad and uninspiring that it manages to completely negate Hawai’i’s natural beauty.
