Top 3 scores are math/science but...

my USH SAT II is lower, as in

MathIIC: 800
Physics: 800
Chem: 790

USH: 770

I KNOW there's a very insignificant difference between the scores, I'm just wondering what colleges do. What I mean is that I hear colleges like to see diversity in SAT IIs, but that they also look only at the top 3 score. Would they look at all 4 in my case then?

wait do u honestly think 770 and 790 are big differences?!?

they are all extremely high scores-- a 770 is way above average and it will be probably looked at as a very high score so i would definitely not worry about it if i were u

wow, can you not read? LOL I said INSIGNIFICANT...

why do you ask this?

You should definitely retake it. Get at least an 800 if not higher.

You should definately retake it. You need a perfect 800 otherwise you can't get into college.

yea those are terrible scores, noone gets into college with those kinds of scores

admissions officers first search for all 800's in your application, and if they don't find them, your application goes in the trash.

ummm...guys piccolojunior is not asking whether these are goods scores or not. he/she is just saying that since the top scores are not in diversified subjects, will the adcoms automatically take the top 3 and disregard the awesome score in history, thereby making him/her appear like an applicant with interests only in narrow fields. god, let's lighten up on the sarcasm for someone with a legitimate question. for example if piccolojunior is going to apply at harvard where i heard the actual committee has a typed sheet of only the top 3 scores, OP is asking whether it would weaken the effect of the general application since those top 3 are all in math/science, and NOT asking whether you think the scores are bad.

I was only joking, not trying to be mean.

If you're applying as a science major, then I don't think anybody would care that you didn't [appear] to take non-mat/science subject tests.

IMO nobody really cares about the USH score as much as those other subject tests you took.

You don't have to take subject tests to show diversity. Take an AP course in a subject outside of your interests (which you've already done).

Take everything I say with a grain of salt. I'm not part of any HYP adcom.

yeah, i agree with afruff23, if you're going to apply to MIT or the like, then i wouldn't worry about it. and if you have like a string of 5s or As in ap humanities then i guess you should be good to go. and good job on your scores (except chem...790? i thought you were my usnco comrade? jk :P ) awesome though!

USNCO is nothing to be proud of. I wouldn't even put it on my application.

/bitter because I missed the deadline for taking it this year (junior)
// I'm joking...

haha that was back when I was "unrefined"...May 06 = nothing but Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence (online mode FTW) so I woulda been screwed if I didnt to get my **** together and study for the week before the test lol.

LOL @ afruff, that's like me saying USNCO finalist is nothing to be proud of because I'm bitter that my stupid mistake cost me a trip to the camp.
