Looks like these were late coming out. This one is dated March 10:

"...good news you are one of about 350 particularly outstanding applicants to Duke this year...pool of almost 24,000 applicants...the Admissions Committee fully expects to offer you admission later this spring."

An additional page explains that there are 60 merit scholarships for which finalists will be invited to Duke for interviews. Since ABD invites are already out, I'm assuming that would cover all the scholarships.

And we had convinced ourselves Duke was no longer sending likely letters!

Hmmm this is super-exciting! Assuming they did send me one (which they probably didn't) I probably won't get it until around Saturday. I live in Texas :(

Cool beans. I hope I get one! Is Texas that much farther away from NC than Florida? They're probably close enough to have the same delivery time....YAY!

it's pretty lame sending this late when final decisions are about two weeks away.
i suppose something is better than nothing. but i question the rationale.

Congratulations to all of you, I live in NY so if I were to get a Duke likely, it probably would still be en route.
However, I HIGHLY doubt I'll be getting a likely.
But one can always hope!

nah I have likelies from Columbia and Duke. Still waiting on my Yale decision :P

I'm pretty sure WUSTL was just protecting their yield when they waitlisted me. And it was a wise move since it was one of my bottom choices anyways (especially now).
