I am currently studying Economics and Communication Studies at Northwestern University as an undergraduate.
I am graduating in three years with a GPA of 3.8, approximately.
I will be working at UBS upon my graduation.
Assuming I score high on GMAT, do I have a shot at schools like HBS?
+ I have been very involved in a lot of business-oriented student organizations on campus, including business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi.

Thanks in advance!

You’ll have a “shot” but it will depend more on what you accomplish at UBS (and the job after, if you do another one before applying) versus your peers. If you’re doing IB at UBS, then you’ll be competing against all the other bankers in the pool, so you’ll need to focus on separating yourself. If you’re doing sales & trading, that’s a different story to spin. Your GPA is definitely above average and aim for at least a 730 on the GMAT (to be on the safe side). Generally, a 700+ is enough.

Asides from the academic numbers, your background, story, and post-MBA plans will play important factors.

You’ve done well so far - maybe evaluate in a couple years if you actually need to go to b-school. Just in keep in mind that admittance to the top b-schools are not a meritocracy - probably 50%+ of the people who apply are academically worthy of getting in. So it becomes a crapshoot on who actually gets admitted. View it as having a ~10% shot at each place (except Stanford which will probably be 4% by the time you apply). Whether you apply or not, you’ve taken care of business for your undergrad GPA and received employment at a well-known financial services company.

^^All good advice.
Do a lot of prep for your GMATs, kick butt at UBS and evaluate in about 3 years. If B-school makes sense you should be a strong candidate for a top 5 program.
