I didn't read through all your post, but I know well enough for sure by now that "HSR: Cornell" isn't true at all, and it really starts to get annoy as I keep seeing this; suicide rate at Cornell is on par to the average national level, definitely nowhere near being the "highest".

I can't tell your tone (yeah, the downside of the internet) but yes, MIT does have the highest suicide rate in the US. I have friends there who love it, but I can very easily see that at some times the environment is a little less than healthy...

BLC: Princeton...GORGEOUS...Rice is 2nd(a very close second thoguh...I'll consider it a tie for right now...Rice just has a really colorful campus and the architecture is so original)....Yale is 3rd

BQL: Stanford or UVa...Stanford's campus is nice, and the ppl there are really nice and outgoing...and there's lots of things to do around campus....UVa...good social life, Greek life....mad parties, but still lots of emphasis on academics....also....especially with the AccessUVa program...you have several students from all sorts of economic/social backgrounds...at an Ivie, you'll usually find very rich, very studious ppl...whereas at UVa you'll find a variety of ppl, so the atmosphere is very welcoming.

Most Diverse: Columbia...UVa is 37% minority though....soooo that's a toughy...also refer to the latter part of the BQL section

Best Balance of Academics and Athletics: UVa, UNC, Duke, Wake....you won't find much balance of Academics and Athletics at Ivies...it's always around 85% academics 15% athletics.

HSR: MIT
BLC: Swarthmore or Vassar
BQoL: Toughie...probably an LAC like Pomona (nice area, good academics, laid back)
MD: Harvard
BBoAA: I'd say Duke but you've got a lot of choices: Duke, Stanford, Penn, UVa, UNC

Best Looking Campus: It has to be Colby or Bates. Harvard and Yale are definitely aesthetically pleasing, but they are no paragons of campus beauty.

LOL..."Highest Suicide Rate"...oh man, I'll bet Johns Hopkins has the highest murder rate. Seems natural given that the campus is set in Baltimore, the murder, VD and filth capital of the US. I know of 2 murders of JHU students in the last year...quite an alarming per capita, given that the per capita in Queens, NY is only 7 per 100,000 residents and there are still some extremely dangerous neighborhoods in the Q Burough. I hear that the mayor of Baltimore got mugged. This should raise a red flag; if even the mayor isn't safe, what makes you think that you are? Yikes.

I think Harvard has the most beautiful campus, but I'm biased I suppose. Yeah, they got crab grass, but there is so much history. History definately adds to the visual appeal in my opinion.

I haven't been to many campuses, but Bowdoin is extremely nice in my opinion.

Stanfords definately got a great balance in Athletics...there baseball and basketball teams are always competitive. Michigan in the early to mid 90's was even better...football, baseball, basketball and hockey all had teams that at some point reached a championship game.

I think Harvard is best quality of life, even though its not set in a truly urban area in my opinion.
