My top 5 engineering schools for blacks
- North Carolina A&T - #1 producer of black engineers, full of highly accomplished alumni and the "Aggie Network" is still very much alive and strong
- Georgia Tech - former #1 producer of black engineers in what's widely considered the "Black Mecca" a.k.a. Atlanta
- Texas Southern - new engineering program with brand new tier 1 facilities and endless opportunity nearby living in Downtown Houston. The odds of having to completely uproot yourself after graduation is very low unlike at schools in NC, FL, and Alabama
- FAMU - engineering program has a solid established reputation, is among the top producers of black engineers, and home to big and legendary homecomings
- Prairie View A&M - program has a solid reputation and is ideally located 30 miles away from Houston and 3 hours away from Dallas which are both great cities to live and work as a black engineer.
