Top 5 songs you are listening to right now

Yeah So I opened up limewire and I need some new music, so what better place for the popular culture I seek than College Confidential? Please also include the band so I can be sure I'm stealing the right song.

Bu de bu ai- wilber pan
the orcs-Jay chou
Mr. Q- jolin tsai
1000 years later-JJ lin
Ai mei-rainie yang

OK Here are some songs I guarantee you will love, 100% no money back though :)

Je Cours - by Kyo (a really popular European band)
Du Bist Ein Segen - by Xavier Naidoo (really popular German dude, amazing voice)
Dirty Little Thing - by Velvet Revolver (the first minute is mildly good but the chorus rocks)
Existentialism on Prom Night - by Straylight Run (OK, the name sucks, but the song is amazing)
The Noose - by A Perfect Circle (probably one of my favorite songs of all time)

the songs I posted are the most popular now in Asia.

Bal Sagoth - Shackled To The Trilithon Of Kutulu
Dimmu Borgir - Puritania
Children of Bodom - Kissing the Shadows
Dragonforce - Black Fire
Megadeth - Lucretia

(Band - Song Name)

Dude I love Dragonforce and Megadeth they own!! I have heard of the other bands but I haven't heard those songs. But I have to say my favorite song of all time is "Mr. Crowley" by Black Sabbath. It's a really catchy tune, it's been in my head forever :)

Reflection, Lateralus, Rosetta Stoned- Tool
Wasteland- 10 Years
Sleep Now in the Fire- RATM

Well...then you would def. be interested in the other bands I posted...

Bal Sagoth = extreme symphonic/epic
Dimmu Borgir = melodic death
Children of Bodom = power/w harsh vocals
Dragonforce = as you already know, extreme power
Megadeth = as you already know, thrash

Just an fyi, power metal is my fav. subgenre of metal.

Sabbath is an ok band...try European metal...it is by far the superior brand of metal today.

sweet. but i don't really like the super symphonic stuff. i don't dig the operatic vocals very much. my fave vocalist is james hetfield (metallica) for sure...but anyway, i think you'd like Apocalyptica, nightwish, and sonata arctica? i do like therion but the vocals get to me haha. i do prefer harsher vocals. children of bodom IS a good band. i also like opeth, you?

haha this feels very un-CC

power metal is way pop-ish. i <3 the thrash!! but yeah iron maiden pretty much invented power/melodic metal so i have to begrudgingly say power is good...

"sweet. but i don't really like the super symphonic stuff. i don't dig the operatic vocals very much."

Yeah, there are few and far between of our kind.

"my fave vocalist is james hetfield (metallica) for sure..."

Metallica's earlier work is amazing. Everything up to Black Album. Then they went down the sh|tter.

"but anyway, i think you'd like Apocalyptica, nightwish, and sonata arctica?"

Sure do. I listen to all three of those bands. I actually own 2 Sonata Arctica shirts...cost me like $50, but they're sweet.

"i do like therion but the vocals get to me haha. i do prefer harsher vocals. children of bodom IS a good band. i also like opeth, you?"

Therion is an amazing band. Deggial, Vovin, Secret of the Runes, Sirius B, all great albums. Their newer stuff is better than their older stuff, IMO. Bodom is AMAZING. I have the Follow the Reaper shirt, need MORE though.

Maiden def. influenced power metal. Don't forget Helloween though. Another classic band.

Lots of power metal is outlandish, but I enjoy that aspect of it. :)

And believe me, I love thrash as much as the next person :p

lol true the outlandishness adds character. and yes metallica is currently chillin in the sh|tter but what can we do.

i get a lot of crap because i like modest mouse, jack johnson, and jimmy eat world, along with Slayer, Sabbath, and of course our lovely scandinavian metallers

Ha. I dont blame you. I have Kalmah, Ensiferum, Bal Sagoth, Exodus, Judas Priest, Wintersun, Phil Collins, Toni Braxton, TLC, and Cascada all on my winamp playlist.

:p
