<p>Well I saw a post like this in College Life and I decided to ask it on HSL (I looked through the first 3 pages and didn't find anything like this, sorry if it's a repeat thread).</p>
<p>Did you fall in love?
Go from A student to B student? B student to C student?
Learn a new language?
Make new friends?
Decide on colleges?
Go from introvert to extrovert? Become a shut-in?
Etc....</p>

<p>I’ll start!</p>
<ol>
<li>Maintained my 4.0 so I’m really happy about that :D</li>
<li>Got an internship with a professor which I’m excited about this summer.</li>
<li>Realized some “friends” were not really friends, so I made new ones.</li>
<li>Finalized my top choice college!</li>
<li>Realized that life is amazing, no matter what happens, as long as you have hope. This also ties in with a motto I saw on CC that I decided to adopt: “Accept what you cannot change, but change what you cannot accept”. Life is so much better when you stop worrying about everything that happened… :)</li>

<li>Accepted for a Veterinary Internship</li>
<li>My brother is going to college in the fall, so I have a room to myself :)</li>

2.Ended my freshman year (tied at) ranked #1.</li>
<li>I always talked outside of class and in class to friends. But I became much more talkative in class.</li>
<li>I somehow managed to get this reputation as the smartest person in our class xD
5.Went to Disneyland in november for 2 days on a fieldtrip. Got to have so much fun with my friends and made lots of new ones that lasted the whole year.</li>

<p>So overall my year was all about socially branching out and making new friends. :)</p>
<p>For this past academic school year…</p>

<li>Continued to learn Japanese.</li>
<li>Watched Sherlock and Third Star.</li>
<li>Attended 2 leadership conferences.</li>
<li>Accepted to 2 summer programs.</li>
<li>Awarded Academic All State.</li>

<li> All sectional quiz bowl </li>
<li> Dual placed at WYSE sectionals</li>
<li> Won baseball conference</li>
<li> Got the banner put up for the chess state championship I led us to</li>
<li> Maintained a girlfriend for a record shattering 8 months</li>

<p>Pretty nerdy year to be honest but I had fun.</p>

<li>Became more confident and less of an introvert thanks to model un</li>
<li>Realized my dream college and program </li>

<li>Went to my first debating competition, got through to the final round at the Oxford Union!</li>
<li>Actually went out with friends (a few times) for the first time since 7th grade</li>
<li>Decided I want to go into Medicine</li>
<li>Got straight 1s on my progress review, in all 12 subjects I do</li>
<li>learnt to read a train map. I’m still directionally challenged, but it’s an improvement</li>

<p>1) My 7-year-old cousin was told he has had cancer since birth. (They found 2 tumors on his kidneys, and another on his lung.) I’ve since decided to go into pediatric oncology.
2) I was the first to complete my junior year of high school (I have 3 older brothers and 3 younger sisters.)
3) I made a best friend and gained several new friends in general.
4) I became an aunt.
5) My parents adopted a 6 year old. (Who might I add, is an awesome sister!) </p>
<p>This year so far, has been crazy for my family and I.</p>

<li>Got into AP Physics</li>
<li>Saw two of my favorite bands play for a weekend long reunion</li>
<li>Got an A+ in English, Social Studies, and Alg. 2</li>

<p>I’m so sorry to hear about number 1. But just know that people who go into medicine for emotional reasons (as opposed to financial reasons) are often the best doctors. </p>

<li>Found out that an extremely hot girl lives next door (we hang out a lot now)</li>
<li>Got interested in chemistry after having a jokingly easy year in AP Chem and making high honors in chem olympiad</li>
