Creating this thread to realistically set my expectations on colleges to transfer to. I am going into my sophomore year at the University of North Florida and am currently majoring in Finance. The schools I am currently looking at are Columbia, NYU, University of Chicago, Berkeley, UCLA, and University of Southern California. I know some of these schools do not have Finance so Business Economics would suffice.
Here are my stats:
Highschool GPA: 3.6 weighted
ACT: 25
SAT: equally as low as ACT.
College GPA: ending freshman year with 3.85
Expectations come fall sophomore year: 3.9
Clubs: Finance and Investment society
Currently not in a Fraternity, have no desire to but if it would help my transfer status I would be willing to join.
I am going to apply for 2017 fall semester for the fall. Due to my low SAT I am not expecting much but I will re apply for spring 2017 and fall term 2018!
What are my chances? If I have my expectations set too high what are some other top undergraduate business schools to look into?
Those who are in the same boat as me I wish you luck,
Thank you!
