Top 500 World Universities

USnews ranking is stupid, since it pretty much ranks the undergrad program...which doesn't really make a difference, the most important part of the university is their post-grad programs...thats why that international ranking makes sense

you get the same undergrad education everywhere u go

^ Education; maybe.

Opportunities? NO.

Go to a sub-top 100 vs Harvard for Ugrad and you tell me who gets recruited at Goldman Sachs Ibanking making 100+k including bonuses a year.

well I'm planning on doing post-grad right after undergrad...so your statement doesn't pertain to anybody who wants to get a master's, MD, Ph.D, J.D. or any other professional degree

The toughest to get into undergrad is IIT , india..( it has only engineering)
Ppl prepare 2-4 years for the exam and the acceptance rate is less than 1%.. 4000 out of 250,000 applicant... yeh that bad

Somewhat biased I think. The best five schools in the United States weren't even mentioned...
United States Military Academy
United States Naval Academy
United States Air Force Academy
United States Merchant Marine Academy
United States Coast Guard Academy

Of course, even if they decided to ignore these for a reason... I know Kaplan does... the grading scale is still incredibly biased and focuses purely on academics and not quality of graduates... going back to my previous point. Maybe if they had a grade for schools with CEO's, Presidents/ Prime Ministers, Military Leaders etc, I would respect this a bit more. Oh, and Oxford should be #1... not Harvard. (excluding service academies)

4000 out of 250,000 looks like it's above 1%. I'll refrain from making the obvious logical extension made by this error :)
