Top 8% Question

<p>Does top 8% mean 8.0% only for automatic admission? What if a student is 8.3%? Will they be automatically admitted?</p>

<p>8.3% is not automatically admitted. Your high school’s college counselor should be able to tell you the rank cut-off for your school.</p>

<p>It was explained to me that 8.01% is not good enough. It needs to be 8.0000% or less.</p>

<p>According to UT website, a 8.01 is considered top 9%.</p>

<p>They have some leeway to take people who are not in top 8%. Apply now and don’t wait.</p>

<p>Summer/fall 2014 & spring 2015 applicants now have to be top 7%.</p>
